Clancy's first airplane ride

Clancy did great on his first trip on an airplane; he slept the entire time! After arriving in Raleigh mom made sure he was bundled up for the cold weather. The 1 hour 15 minute car ride to Fayetteville took 2 1/2 hours as we stopped 3 times for bathroom breaks, Bojangles, and Clancy's feeding.

Sound asleep from San Antonio to Atlanta.

Clancy's 3 month birthday

Clancy is getting much stronger and is able to hold his head up and even sit up straight now. He is excited for our big trip to North Carolina next week!

Happy Halloween

Clancy stayed home with the babysitter for the "adult" Halloween party. Courtney and Todd took the runner-up prize for the costume contest as Brad and Angelina. Missing from this photo were the 14 baby dolls we took with us as props.

Our first smile caught on camera!

Clancy is 2 months old!

We had a big day to celebrate Clancy's two month birthday. First, we attended the squadron kid's Halloween party. He slept through most of it, but mom and dad made sure to eat plenty of candy for him. Then we came home and walked to our neighborhood Octoberfest Block Party with our friends Matt and Jennifer McKerring, and their son Connor. It was a great day.

The latest happenings

A lot has been happening in Clancy's life since his 1 month birthday! First, G-daddy came to visit. Then Courtney and Clancy met Todd in San Antonio on a work-related trip for a weekend; his first trip out of town and he did great! Mom was able to get a much-needed massage, so Clancy and dad spent some time bonding (that is code for watching college football at a sports bar). We had some work done on the house so all of us (plus Jocko of course) slept in the guest house for a few days. Pretty close quarters, but we did okay. The weather is starting to cool off in South Texas, so we've had some nice runs with Clancy in his jogger (he takes full advantage of the opportunity to nap). This weekend Clancy and dad are going to catch a hockey game so mom can take a break and go out to dinner with some friends.

A day in the life of CJ

Clancy has brought a little more luck to the Irish this year, so he's trying to do the same for the Wolfpack now.

Just some funny faces. He's had a few smiles, but nothing caught on tape just yet.

After a long day of playing with mom, Clancy is stretched out for a nap. It's really easy to see how big he has gotten since he came into the world so small. He's on track to double his birth weight before his 2 month birthday!

Baby massage

We all attended a baby massage class at Courtney's yoga studio. As you can see, Clancy is a big fan.

Happy one month birthday Clancy!

We're back from our evacuation and fortunately no damage down here in South Texas. Thanks for all the calls and emails from those concerned; our prayers go to our neighbors not too far north of us who took a major hit from Ike.

Clancy celebrated his one month birthday today pretty much how he spends every other day...eating and sleeping. He is very excited to see G-daddy tomorrow!

The mark of Granny

The only evidence left behind from Granny's trip to Texas was this mysterious mark left on Clancy's cheek.

Just a little dad time on the living room floor. We didn't get to hang out much this week after getting back to work from the hurricane evacuation, so we're taking full advantage now.

Ike is on the way

The house is boarded up and we are evacuating first thing tomorrow morning. Todd will be flying an airplane to Las Cruces, New Mexico as part of the Navy's hurricane evacuation. Courtney, Clancy, and Jocko are headed to Austin.

College football Saturday with Dad

Clancy and dad got to hang out and watch the Irish play today while mom and granny were out. It wasn't pretty but his first game was a win against San Diego State. Clancy's outfit is still a little big, but you get the idea. ND class of 2030?

After a long day of football he managed to find his thumb during a nap.

Clancy's first real bath

We'll spare you evidence from the actual bath, but he was pretty happy once it was all over.

Just hanging around the house

Clancy is really putting on the weight; he has gained almost 2 pounds since he was in the hospital! All that eating sure does tire him out.
