More birthday party...

After devouring a cupcake, Clancy decided he wanted to give Kate's cake a try as well. He quickly decided that he liked that too...fortunately Kate was willing to share!

Day three of our trip to San Diego was spent at cousin Avery (4) and Kate's (1) birthday party. The house was full of kids, but Clancy's favorite part was when the cupcakes were brought out!

Rain gear

The week got off to a rainy start so Clancy got a chance to try out all his new rain gear from Christmas.

Clancy isn't quite sure what to make of the "for sale" sign.

Silly stuff

Apparently Clancy has taken a liking to putting things on his head. At the top of his list are his dad's cover and his mom's headband. Clancy also got a big surprise when mom brought home a new soft chair that looks like a fire truck and folds out into a bed with a racetrack on it.

Hand, foot and mouth

Right after returning from the lake we discovered Clancy caught hand, foot, and mouth (a viral infection). It was a rough few days for mom and son, and then dad came down with strep throat! Overall, a bad time for everyone. Clancy doesn't often cuddle up with anyone, but he needed some mom time while he wasn't feeling well.

Lake Corpus Christi

We had a great time New Year's Eve at a friend's lake house on Lake Corpus Christi just outside of town. Clancy played with their daughter, Layla, and really got a kick out of the golf cart. Overall, a really fun trip with some great new friends.

Christmas 2009

Clancy still isn't too excited about opening gifts; although his sugar rush from the cinnamon roll at breakfast on Christmas morning is evident as he walks all over the room babbling! Be sure to check out the videos at the bottom of the post.

Santa on a fire truck leading carolers through the neighborhood. We're getting our money's worth out of that hat this year!

Change of Command

Nana and Papa came into town for a week in early December and got a chance to come to the squadron's change of command ceremony.
